More upcoming changes

June 24, 2011

Lot’s of updates from Riot on things today. I’ll start off with future updates to support oriented items:

We’re not really satisfied with the build paths and the lacking of diversity in support items. We have plans to rework a lot of lesser used supportish items into become more in-tune with support type characters. This includes Will of the Ancients, Starks Fervor and Aegis of the Legion

About Will of the Ancients specifically:

Aegis and WotA are used more but just don’t have a place on an organized team usually. We want to replace WotA with a more selfish, higher-tier spellvamp item, them shift WotA into a supportive item.

Read here, here,  about Yorick:

We definitely agree with the sentiment that the ghouls/pets should be more relevant than they currently are. There are some other things we’ll likely hit, but these are meant to be a core part of him and need to function as such.

Yes, we’re strongly consider reducing AoE damage on the normal ghouls and removing the HP drain on the Revenent and Reanimated pets. There were a lot of issues with playing against frustration on Yorick, and the HP drain was the corner-stone in encouraging players to attack the ghouls. I think we can buff them in other ways besides this (for example: slow immunity to ensure damage output).

Jax:

We will be looking into fixing issues with Jax’s changes next patch and we are making it a high priority. Sorry for what happened, and for the scare that it was a comprehensive change.
